Currently, I have two different I-94 card numbers.

1. Number #1: Most recent H-1B approval notice was just approved on (Feb. 11, 2008)
My H-1B amendment application (change job location for the same employer) was filed in Sept 2007. In that application of Sept. 2007, my I-94 card number was “Number #1” from most recent entry in 2005. And my previous H-1B approval notice also has an I-94 card number as “Number #1” on it.

2. Number #2: Most recent entry on (Jan. 7, 2008)
"Number #2" was used to replace my old number "Number #1" at my most recent entry in Jan. 2008. So "Number #1" became invalid after that entry.

I mailed my most recent I-94 card (with “Number #2”) to my attorney in Jan. 2008. But she didn’t submit it to USCIS for my pending H-1B amendment application. So that application only has an I-94 card with “Number #1” in it.

Then my H-1B amendment was approved in Feb. 2008 with an I-94 card of “Number #1”, which is different from my most recent entry in Jan. 2008 with an I-94 card of “Number #2”.

Questions:
1. My H-1B was approved after my most recent entry and using my old I-94 card number "Number #1". If I re-enter US next time or if I file EAD or AP, which I-94 card number should I use? Which number is in the USCIS system now?

2. I don't know if these two inconsistent numbers will make trouble when I re-enter US or file other applications later. Can we apply to amend my most recent H-1B approval notice to the new number "Number #2", which is same as the number from my most recent entry?

Thank you very much for your kind advice.
