My wife and I got our Green cards 3 years ago and we have lived and worked here in the US continuously for the past three years. We would like to return to China to work long term but would like to get our US citizenships later. We unfortunately cannot wait 2 more years before returning to China. My son was born in the US and has US citizenship.I heard (no hard facts) that one only need to stay 2.5 years in the US during the 5 years period to be eligible for US citizenship. Is this true?
