This is my first time to joint an online discussion. It’s an urgent issue and hope I can have your advice regarding my green card application.
My company’s attorney e-filed the permanent application for labor certification on March 7th, 2008, and he received a courtesy email from the US DOL on the same day indicating that my company received a request from the DOL to complete an on-line questionnaire to verify sponsorship. However, on March 12th our HR manager didn’t receive any email from the DOL and found the email address given to the DOL was her old email.
The HR manager sent an email to the DOL help desk to request them to resend the email or call her, but the help desk replied that the sponsorship emails are generated by the PERM Processing centers that don't re-generate the emails. If no response is received within 7 calendar days, the assigned PERM analyst then follows up by telephone.
But the attorney said in his experience, if no response with in 7 days, the application could be denied, and unfortunately the DOL can't be contacted by phone. Hopefully they will call.
Is there any way to contact the DOL rather than just waiting for them to call? If the DOL doesn’t call, then my application will be denied. My job posting ads were placed on Sep 30th, 2007. If it’s denied, the ads will be over 180 days, so my application will need to start over from the beginning to re-post the ads again.
March 13, 2008 is the last day to respond to the DOL to verify sponsorship. Today our IT group searched recently emails sent to the HR manager in SPAM and her email folders but didn't find any emails from the DOL. Please advise what I can do.
