I am laid off today---PJ teacher--Pls help!!! ninohu2008-03-31 22:21:52

Teachers:

I was laid off today. My status is: I140 was approved last July, i-485 notice date was 7/2 and FP was done on Sept last year. Did not apply EAD last year. Just filed EAD today.

My question:
1. if I am still legally stay in here? any law can share?
2. if I find a new same or smilar job next month, how USCIS will look at this gap period, which is from today to the new employment date.
