Thanks for your suggestion. My son is applying the AP. 已经学习了皮匠老师blog里面这方面的问题，还有一些疑惑:
1) My son entered USA in 2002 (TD visa) and visited China for 1 month, then returned USA (H4 visa) in 2006. Filling I-131 “ Class of Admission” 该填什么,Which answer is correct?
A. visitor B.visitor (H4) C. visitor (TD) D. visitor (H4,TD).
2) My I-140 approved in 2007; my son I-485 pending, recipe date is on August 15, 2007 (paid $395). Should he pay the I-131 application fee?

My statuses: I-140 approved in 2007; I-485 pending and fingerprinting with my son and wife in 2007 in USA. My son is a senior college student, F1 holder and Canadian. This year he will go to UK for a special study project which belongs to the college study program. My questions: 1) Will his I-485 application be invalid and he needs to re-apply I-485 again if my son leaves USA to UK? 2) How to solve the problem, filing the I-131?
