NC pending
Phone inquire, mailed first lady, several senators, several congressmen,got reply from FBI in a useless template format mail (I guess they got too many forwarded mail from first lady so that they start sending template mail instead of doing any real work any more, but any way, if you NC is still pending and you never did this, I would suggest you do this. Only a stamp, who knows whether it works or not).
As I know my NC is still pending in 2008/02.
485 LUD: 3/3/2008, 3/4/2008, I guess it's the memo and they start counting the case that is suitable for processing according the memo.Master PiJiang has a very good article about how 485 is processed,http://blog.wenxuecity.com/blogview.php?date=200708&postID=19650. According to that article,I guess my case, or similar case like mine, has passed the file management stage at that time. It was waiting for NC clear the past several months. Since the memo, it is ready for work load distribution and Adjudication. Anyway, both me and my wife called TSC, we got standard answer : "we are trying to clear this kind of case, please call back if get no decision until 4/30.". The one who answered my wife's call is nicer, she helper her iterated items that need be checked, and told my wife that everything is OK, it's just waiting for officer to sign.
Anyway, no update after that. I saw several person's posting here, which said that they called recently and was told the deadline for processing cases that are suitable for the memo was postponed again. I don't even bother to call them.But get the email today at 9:30PM.
回想办绿卡的这五年，几乎每一步的坎坷都赶上了，LABOR遇到BACKLOG，485又是NC。期间公司的动荡和害怕被LAIDOFF的辛酸，个中滋味只有经历过才能明白。但仔细想一想，同时期申请的人好像都是相似的经历。有比我LUCKY的，也有比我UNLUCKY的。好像我的到像是普通的经历了。ANYWAY，收到EMAIL并没有太多的兴奋。高兴还是有的，但并不是很兴奋，等得时间太久了。
我也一直在关注最近几个月有关MEMO的CASE批的情况。我的感觉是，CIS乱是乱，慢是慢，承诺也根本不当回事，有小部分CASE会MESSUP，但大多数CASE还是按一定程序去处理的。NORMAL的CASE处理程序，参考PiJiang老师的文章。这次MEMO的CASE比较特殊，不知道是按怎样的顺序处理。我的GUESS是他们先大概统计了一下COVER的CASE，然后大概是按照PD去处理的。坛子上的CASE很多，但有些是ＮＣＣｌｅａｒ的，有些是ＣＩＳ ＭＥＳＳＵＰ的ＣＡＳＥ，特殊处理，要把它们分开才能看到ＭＥＭＯ ＣＯＶＥＲ 的ＣＡＳＥ的处理趋势。同时，分析这类ＣＡＳＥ又要EB分类.我的观察,觉得这类CASE在二三月都先有LUD,然后经过几个星期到一两个月的时间,如果没有RFE,就批了.我比较关注EB2.三月时,批的较多,PD大多是2002年的.三月中以后就少了,我猜想是因为印度人有一大批PD较早的EB2进来了.他们不会到这里来发帖,我们看不到.最近,又看到有EB2 2003年的批了.所以我觉得CIS还是在按计划处理符合MEMO的CASE,慢,但在处理中.这只是我的分析,不一定对,希望对相似经历的同胞有所帮助,也算对坛子的支持和感谢.
