My case is Family based I485. We were interviewed on January 4th, 2007. After then I guess that my case stayed at the local office. My name check is still pending. And I sent a letter along with the USCIS NC Memo on February to Chicargo USCIS local office, but nothing has happened so far. I called NCSC and a nice lady sent a request to Chicago office letting them issue me the green card. However, I received two exactly same letter from them saying until my name and background check is finished, they could not make decision. I now wonder that this is just another excuse for them to keep ignoring my case. I even doubt that my case could be missed or something. Does anybody have similar experience at all?
