Both my hu*****and and I are Canadian citizens. He just received a job offer in US and will likely enter US to work under TN visa. I have a full-time job in Canada and don't plan to quit immediately before I secure a similar professional job in the city where he works.
My questions are:
(1) If I intend to work in Canada for the following 12 months, should I apply for a TD along with his TN application at the border? I see no advantage of doing that because I can freely visit US using my Canadian passport as long as my stay is less than 6 months.
(2) Is it complicated for me to apply for TD while he is already working inside US under TN?
(3) I understand that a person who holds TD visa can not legally work in US. If I hold a TD, is that possible for me to switch from TD to TN once I find a suitable employment in US?
