Help! I-485 denied for stupid judgement hwx20082008-07-20 04:18:39

My I-485 (based on an approved EB1b - Outstanding Professor or Researcher) was just denied because it was treated as "employment second preference category". Is the a big error or INS changed EB1b to "employment second preference category"? Please help and suggest what is the best that I can do. The following is the denied reason:

"You are a native and citizen of China and the beneficiary of an approved Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker (Form I-140), filed in your behalf as an outstanding professor or researcher (employment second preference category), witha priority date of September 26, 2005".
"On July 26, 2006, you applied to adjust your status to that of a lawful permanent resident under INA $245, based on the approved Form I140."
"..., The Visa Bulletin for July, 2006, when you filed your Form I-485 indicates that the visa availability date for the employment second preference category was for visa petitions with priority dates on or before March 1, 2005."

But My applicaion was based on employment first preference category (approved EB1b). When I made the application, the Visa Bulletin was definitely current for EB1 based I-485 application.
