Hi,

I had two I140 filed. One is EB3 with PD of July 2004 and the second is EB2 with PD of Nov 2006. Both of the I140s were approved but I did not have the approval notices for both I140s. They were mailed directly to the lawyer. My lawyer told me that they did port the PD of the old I140 into the new one. To confirm this, I asked my lawyer to show me the copies of the approval notices of the I140 so that I can confirm the PD and A number on them. They replied that those copies belong to my employer so without their permission, they are not allowed to show me.

So I asked our HR immigration person and she replied that they can provide me the information on PD and A number, but they can not show me the approval notices. My question is that is this normal? Or do they just want to hide some info? without the copies of the I140 approval notices, how can I find out if the PD is correctly ported?

Please help!
