I got laid off, Please help on H1B transfer after using AP. xding1232008-09-20 12:30:52

I would be laid off on Sept. 30. Unfortunately I do not have EAD on hand. I applied for renewal EAD on Sept. 8, so I probably will get EAD in November. If I find a new job before end of September, could I transfer my H1B to the new company? I have used AP this summer, so I think my status is AOS and I am not sure if I can transfer this H1B visa to start to work on Oct. 1 for the new company.

Need you kind help on how to plan my future.
