My current situation:
I140 approved. Waiting for Priority Date to file I485. 6 years H1B will be expired in June 2009 and my company is in the process doing 3-year H1B extension for me (can do that because I140 approval).
My question is:
Another company really want me to join them. My understanding is since my 6 years H1B will expire soon, I don't think there will be enough time for them to transfer my visa, file and get PERM approved and then file and get 1 year extension for me. Correct?
How about this? As I mentioned, my current employer is filing 3-year extension for me. What if I wait till the 3-year extension approved and then change job? Does that 3-year extension have to be employer specific? Can I still have that 3 year even after I change employer?
