Following is the situation (currently H-1B):

Got updated email 2 days before leaving out of US saying: Card Production Ordered;

Got updated email 1 day before leaving saying: welcoming notice mailed and I-140 approval notice mailed (but they have the same notice date as the "card production"). At same day, I went to local USCIS office for stamp but was told their local system was not updated yet (didn't show the approval status). The supervisor there said normally it would take several days for their lower level system to update (faint).

Then my lawyer told me I can travel and use the mailed card to come back. So I did it.

Yesterday, got another updated email saying: I-485 approval notice was sent.

I know (from my lawyer) If the card I will get is dated 2 days before my leaving, it's alright.

My question is if the date on the card is after my leaving, can I still use the mailed card to come back? The reason that I am asking is that my lawyer told me theoretically it's a "maybe" problem since my status was adjusted after my leaving. But he added that he never saw it happened but just a "maybe" question.

Can Pjiang or other DADAs help me out on this issue? Can I still go to the embassy for H-1b Visa? If so, should I apply for I-485 again after coming back due to the "maybe" problem?

Thanks much in advance
