I have an EB1B 140/485 that was originally filed with TSC: 140 approved in 04/2009, and 485 transferred to NSC in early 07/2009. I filed a service request to inquire the case status and got the following response from TSC in May:

"We are actively processing this case. However, we have to perform additional review on this case and this has caused a longer processing time. If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 6 months of this letter, please call customer service at the number provided below."

I also have a NIW 140/485 at NSC: filed in 07/2007 and 140 approved in 08/2008. Now all my 485 cases are at NSC. I wanted to boost the chance for my case to be touched. So yesterday, I filed a service request to inquire my NIW 485 as it is outside the processing time. Today I got the same response from NSC:

"We are actively processing this case. However, we have to perform additional review on this case and this has caused a longer processing time. If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 6 months of this letter, please call customer service at the number provided below."

It is weird that I got the same response for both of my cases from different centers at different times. It is common nowadays for EB1 485 to get fast approval, and I also just got and responded to an RFE for NIW 485 in April (they asked for non-immigration status documents after the submission of 485). So, my concern is why my cases need "additional review" and why they still need 6 more months to process my case. Is there any trouble with my case? Does this mean something is wrong with my application? Thanks a lot for your comments and suggestions...
