How CIC count days in Canada Xiejoe2004-09-14 05:37:43

I am a new immigrant to Canada, but I am also a student in the U.S. My question is that how can the Canadian Immigration Services know how many days I spend in Canada since they don't inspect me when I go back to the U.S. Or is there any kind of system that the Canadian immigration use to keep track of its permenant residents' physical presence in Canada?
