Recently I changed my status from H1 to F2 to follow my hu*****and's F1 (OPT) that expires on 2/11/05. I got my F2 approved, however I was not given a D/S; on my approved I-20 and the new I94 it says they will expire on 2/11/05. Now my hu*****and is addmitted to a PHD program starts Fall 2004. I have got a new I-20 accordingly. I have already submitted the I102 form and my I94 to USCIS for correction DS. But some nice people told me I should submit the I-539 for f2 extension. (ISS of the school don't know anything about this).
I am going to submit I-539 for extension also with I-102 for correction pending. Can I do that, or I have to cancel the I-102 petition before submitting I-539? Any kind response will be greatly appreciated.
