now on H4 (expire 3/10/10), I-485 pending (EB-2 through my hu*****and's company Motorola). PD: march, 2006. Does anyone knows how long it will take for 485 approval?
Anyway, suffering enough for the possible layoff, I want to file NIW by myself. But I have not worked in the field (petrochemical catalysis and environmental materials) for past 8 years. Instead, I have been a stay-at-home mom. Got a postdoc offer this year from my former potdoc University but I declined as my kids are little.
Here are my credentials:
PhD: in China
5 year postdoc: in Germany and US (funding from Exxon Mobil, Procter & Gamble, and National Science Foundation...)
4 chinese patents (first author)
4 top journals
10 internal conference papers
My questions:
1. Am I still qualified for NIW?
2. How long does it take for NIW application?
3. Does my NIW filing conflict our 485 application?
