Help: NIW I-485 was denied after EB1B was denied greencard20082010-01-16 16:01:52

My PD for NIW I-140 is 08/2006, and I-485 was submitted in July 2007 based
on the approved NIW I-140.

EB1B was denied in 12/2009 at NSC. I just received an email Denial Notice
for I-485 from USCIS. They didn't explain why the denial decision was made
in email.

A lawyer told me to file a Motion to Reopen the I-485. But I have to convince someone on the 1-800 number or with the help of a Senator or Congressional office. Does anybody have an experience about reopen and can recommend a lawyer.
