My wife is now H-4 status. She transfered from F-1 this Jan.
Her first visa in US is J-1 from 2008-2009.
When she apply for F-1 in China in 2009, She didn't do the J-1 waiver.
So when we are now preparing for the 485 application, the lawyer
mentioned the J-1 waiver is required for 485 application.
So my question is: since she is already in H4 status (immigration visa type),
does she still need the J-1 waiver for I-485 application?
The waiver will take time and we want to confirm before processing it.
