H4? for Parent Visit ? iamsamk2004-10-07 22:08:51

Hello everyone,

I get H1B (full time technology coordinator from my college) from F1 this July.

Now I want to get my parents to visit me, what kind of visa should they apply for?

My roommate said it's H4, but is that include "parents"? or it's only applicable to spouse, son/daughter.

and he also gave me this list:

1. 2 forms of DS-156, 157
2. Copy of I -797
3. Copy of passport and visa
4. 3 most recent pay slips
5. Last year's income tax notice
6. Letter from employer confirmig salary and job title and date of hire.

Are these items enough? (from my side), what else do I/my parent have to prepare for the application?
