Hi Teacher 863211,

I am applying for GC for my dad, and submitted DS-230 with the all the supporting documents in photocopies (copies of certified documents).
Now I received an email from NVC, in which we were asked to submit original or certified copy of the original, bearing the original seal or stamp for the issuing authority.

In the letter, there are two other suggestions from NVC coming with it like this:
1)...write your case number clearly (exactly as it appears below) on the upper right-hand corner of all documents.

---which sounds not quite reasonable since the documents also includes my birth certificates and my marriage certificate or certified ones, in addition to my dad's certified documents and I have to mark this case number on ALL documents?

2) All documents not in English or official language of the country in which the visa will be applied for must be accompanied by a certified translation. Your translation must include a statement signed by the translator that states the following:

* Translation is accurate and
*Translation is competent to translate.

I thought the stamp or seal on the notarized documents should be sufficient to demonstrate the above points, am I right?

Thanks for your suggestion and input!
