The original letter from IPO officer is here:
"Dear xxxx,
When I looked for your file, it was inactive. Because of a glitch in the
people soft system your H was retracted with USCIS in August 2010. I get the
lists from HR and send them to USCIS. I did not realize this until you asked
about your leave. I sent a letter to USCIS asking that it be reinstated
along with evidence from the vice chancellor of human resources
explaining the circumstances. They cannot retract this because of
regulations but I can refile the H and ask that it be retroactive from
August 10. I have consulted with an immigration attorney, and
he thinks that this should not be a problem. He also said we should ask for
3 years beginning 8/10.
Of course, this is in no way your fault and we will not be charging you any
fees, etc. I was hoping to resolve this without worrying you. I am attaching
the H application and would like to do this asap...."
