My H1B is valid until 2013. When I back to USA at airport, the officer found my passport is expiring within a year. And he gave me I-94 only for a year based on my passport valid date. He said I need to leave USA and then back to extend my I-94. I wonder if and where I can extend my I-94 in USA? I called the airport (Detroit), but was told that they will not do that.
Is that possible to get a new I-94 at USA-Canada border? But it will take a longer time to get a Canada visa recent (no the same day service now).
