I first came to USA with J-1 visa and later my wife came to USA with J-2 visa. Then i and my wife changed to F-1 and F-2. Later on my wife change to F-1 and went back to china to bring kid to USA with F-2. After I graudated, I got J-1 wavier letter from USCIS and transfered to H-1B and at the same time my kid transfered to H-4 with me. Right now I am preparing supporting documents for my kid's I-485 application.

Do I need put the J-1 waier letter in my kid's application documents? If I put the J-1 waiver letter in my kid's application documents, there is no J-1/2 visa stamp on the passport or IAP-66 for my kid.

I noticed that when my employer lawyer filed H-4 petition (I-539) for my kid, there is a question "are you currently or have you ever been a J-1 exchange visitor or a J-2 dependent of a J-1 exchange visitor?" My lawyer check "no" box. is it correct?

Thank you very much
