I really need your sincere helps!! Thanks a bunch first!!

My hu*****and will be relocated to China for an international work assignment and we have to leave as early as Jan 2005. My petition for GC was filed in July 04, though advanced parole was proved a month late and took the first fingerprint the end of Aug, my I485 is still in process. And the worst thing is my district office (boston) is still processing the Feb's petition, it probably will take another 3-4 months for them to process my case. So here comes to my questions:
1. Is it safe for me to leave the states now? What preprations I have to do before I leave?
2. I will have to change my address to a friend's place in LA, will that necessarily transfer my application to LA office?
3. After I-485 is proved, will I be notified for interview? or what to expect next, stamp for temp gc? If the application stays in boston office after I change my address to LA, does that mean I will have to return to Boston for interivew?
4. Is approval of I485 the last step for getting stamped of temp gc? What if it's still not approved before my advanced parole expires? When should I apply for a new advanced parole? Normally the new advanced parole will take a month to be approved, do I have to wait in the US for the whole month to get the paper, can I leave the states right after I submit my new application?
5. Do I have to return to US every half of a year before the application is approved?

Anything else that I haven't thought of but have to prepare before I leave?

Thanks for your inputs in advance, I really need your helps, really appreciate it!!
