I took a shuttle to land in Canada. The immigration lady asked me whether I move in today. I told her I came to do the landing and have to return USA afterward. She asked me how much money I had with me and I show her my check and bank statement. She asked my address and I told her my friend's address. She seems to be very picky and critical and told me I could not get my maple card until I quit my job in USA and came to Canada. Then she attached a piece of paper "Confirmation of Permanent Resident" and told me it can not be used to travel. I was so confused by her saying. But later on, I noticed she gave me a form, on which it says as soon as I get my Canada address, I can fax this form to Permanent Resident Process Center so that Process Center can mail the card to my Canada address. I filled out the form and faxed it. So my question now is "is the Process Center going to mail the card to my friend's address". The lessons I learned from this landing is:
1. When asked, tell them you move in today without any hesitation.
2. When asked about address, tell them you just move in and have to live with your friends until you find your own place.
Thanks a lot for anyone who can answer my question.
