Dear All,
Attorney from Maryland suggest me to do " the nunc pro tunc H-4" to try to get a back dated approval for my wife since her H4 expired due to incorrect I-94.

1) Does anyone know what is " the nunc pro tunc"? If you have same experience shares with me, I will appreciate that. I would like to know any special process comparing with regular extension.

2) What is permanent record? Up to now, attorney said my wife does not has permanent record, if I continue to file appeal, it will be a permanent record on INS.

3) Can we change I -94 record directly? If I can provide any similar case ( ie. I-94 correction after expired on Port of Entry.), does that give me any help?

In addtion, memo from INS on 3/30/2004 provide guideline how to do I-94 correction.

Thanks!
