US population is 9 times as many as that in Canada, so roughly we can say US has 9 times of any kind of work positions than those in Canada. this means US has 9 times more dish washing positions, 9 times more cab driving positions. of course 9 times professional positions as well. people choose to live in Canada because it's cleaner, people are nicer, much lower crime rate(1/3 of the murder rate of the US), beautiful vast land. However you need an okay income to enjoy all those. for those chinese who are desperate to earn surviving money, US is of course better place as I said 9 times more any type of jobs. because they are just from china, US is already clean and beautiful compared to china, crime rate is already much lower than that in china. as people struggle to survive, they don't really need further cleaner air, more beautiful environment as those in Canada.
I strongly ecourage chinese to think about it before moving to canada. Canadians believe a place which is peaceful, relaxed, clean, friendly is a better place to live and US is behind when these are considered. and United Nation agrees with this too. So now the problem is if you agree with this or not. If you agree, as soon as you have an okay income to live in Canada, the longer you live in canada you will like it more. For those who care more about money than "peaceful, clean, friendly" Canada is NOT the place for you. Unfortunately the a big portion of immigrants from mainland China are among them. They should either try to get to US at the first place or leave for US as soon as possible because 9 times bigger job market is there.
Another fact is there are also huge number of chinese living in Canada enjoy the life of "peaceful, relaxed, clean, friendly", they really appreciate the place they live.
