最近看完了陈丹青的“局部”系列,心里有点小悲伤。为什么呢?因为在“局部”结尾处,陈丹青说绘画作为艺术形式已经过时。我能理解,也认同,所以心生悲意,就象听到一个老朋友将要死去的消息。
要说我为什么认同陈丹青的说法,就要提到马塞尔·杜尚。
Henri-Robert-Marcel Duchamp (28 July 1887 – 2 October 1968) was a French painter, sculptor, chess player, and writer whose work is associated with Cubism, Dada, and conceptual art. Duchamp is commonly regarded, along with Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse, as one of the three artists who helped to define the revolutionary developments in the plastic arts in the opening decades of the 20th century, responsible for significant developments in painting and sculpture.
Duchamp has had an immense impact on twentieth-century and twenty first-century art, and he had a seminal influence on the development of conceptual art. By the time of World War I he had rejected the work of many of his fellow artists (such as Henri Matisse) as "retinal" art, intended only to please the eye. 绘画艺术从过去到现在经历了一个漫长的过程。最早源于原始人的洞壁图鸦。后来画家受雇于教庭,政府,富豪,要么歌颂上帝,要么记录重大事件,或描述重要人物。在后来画家可以靠办画展和卖画谋生,才有更多自由画自己想画的事物,并在画中加入自己的认知和情感,而不再过于在乎画什么和画得象与不象。特别是在照像技术诞生后,绘画的记录功能已完全失去,画家必须靠改变和创新以求生存,也就促生了当代绘画技术和形式的激变和各种流派的诞生。杜尚敏锐地看清了绘画艺术的来胧和去脉,这也就不奇怪会有后来的“小便池-泉”作品,和其后半生气定神闲,乐在“棋”中,而不在过于追求绘画,因为画家已不在通过画具象的人,物,事来与观众交流,而是画自己的抽象的思想,情绪,和感受。原来的画家,绘画内容和观众的相对平衡基本上变成了画家们自玩自乐的游戏了。再后来以至小便池也不要了,有的画家也有直接玩起行为艺术,来把自身直接溶入艺术作品中。
