your life starts in the earth
feathers as thin as silk
body as white and tender as snow
you flip your fragile wings
learning dance in the morning
every graceful move
blows kisses of love to the sky
in the warm air under the sun
you find your true love
who also has wings as colorful as
brocade clothes
together you turn and spin
breathe every moment of joy
between the heaven and earth
making love like it will last forever
even though your life spans
only for a day
just like a drop of water in the ocean
but it’s a drop as significant as
and no less than the whole ocean
your life starts in the earth
and ends in the sky
