Hi Everyone,
Just talked to the animal control officer who told me that they whole incident could be avoided if our neighbor would have leashed her dog. Anyway, he told me more than that, according to the city's record, her dog is not registered with the city which is not right, second, shently spre animal control officer told me that he received so many emails from people complaining about our dog. He told me not to take any action right now and I do not have the responsibility to pay the vet bill so if I want I can go to the court to ask the money back from her. What I plan to do now:
1. Hear from the animal officer's final report this will be by the end of the week.
2. The words she spread is not true and cause potential harm to our reputation therefore we can suit her.
3. We found an attorney who is recommended by a friend and will help us to amend the rules and regulations regarding large dog, our other neighbor is with us, we have total 53.5% vote.
4. My gut feeling is this is not a simple dog bite issue but more than that is discrimination, I have to do this to fight the right for my dog as well as set an example to my kids, we are nice and compassion is our highest virtue, but if people step on our feet, once, I forgive, twice, maybe I tolerate, three times ? I am stupid. I have to file a law suit against her, first with dog, second with condo rules amendments, third, discrimination. If I have to work 200 hours a week to make up the fee, so be it but I cannot be weak, not for my family.
My attorney as well as the animal officer told me to stay quiet now, do not respond to any of the emails/letters from the neighbors, by the end of the week they should be able to give me some info so to start the whole process.
Please advice as much as you can, if any good resource you know please leave a web link.
Thank you so much for all you support, when I have more time I will sort out more photos of Tailang with my babies.
Thanks again.
Tailang in front of the window in the living room, outside right in front is the park where we walk him everyday.
