son had my car registered in NJ with him in CA for college (senior in fall). My current car insured with All States, was told our current policy can't cover this, he needs to registe the car in ca and buy ca insurence under his name. Would like to know if it's possible to insure college student with out of state car in campaus and still keep the car registered and insured at home state. Any experience/advice on this?
