IBM PC300GL 6278SAU.

One 64MB SDRAM and one 256MB SDRAM, worked fine with XP SP2 before.

After upgrade to latest BIOS code (dated on year 2000 from IBM website), the BIOS beeps and goes to setup menu due to new BIOS image, it thinks default memory size 64MB has changed, based on IBM user manual, this is normal and should be ok after going to setup menu to change the configuration.

But, when I was in the BIOS setup menu, there is no way to change the memory configuration. So, it beeps every time when it boots.

The 256MB ram is ok, I run the IBM diagnostic code, it shows the second SDRAM and tested OK, no errors.

Anybody can help?

Thanks.

Tried to download old BIOS code, couldn't find any.
