Please help me with this weird situation. I am worrying about that a lot.
I submitted my I-140/I-485 concurrently last sep. and my I-140 was approved. I also submitted I-485 for my hu*****and. Last Nov, INS sent him a RFE for his I-485, requesting his previous I-20 and tran. I never received RFE for my I-485. I submitted the required materials, together with the golden sheet to INS last week. The funny thing is that, my case status (I-485) was updated, saying that they have received my RFE materials while the case status for my hu*****and is not updated, still saying that they have mailed out a RFE last Nov. I think that they must have mistaken his RFE with my case since two cases are probably in one big profile.
Now my question is:
1. Is there anything I need to do to correct this mistake?
2. Do you think that I need to resubmite the materials and write a coverletter to explain the situation?
3. If I need to resubmit the materials, how can I get the golden sheet again? I have sent it out.
4. If I don't do anything, will my hu*****and's I-485 be turned down because RFE materials are not received in a timely manner?
I am sorry to have so many questions for you. The thing is that, the deadline for RFE is approaching very soon. I am getting worried. I know it is not my fault but INS's but I don't want to argue with them if possible.
