File EB3 Labor Certification in 12/2001.
Later found that the company lawyer was sloppy, pushed to change to RIR (EB2) and filed on 4/1/2002.
In 9/2003, company lawyer informed me that LC was approved in 7/2003. Lawyer and I prepared all the I140, I485, I131, I765 forms in 2 weeks. Company secretary filed them in 11/2003.
My wife and I have had 3 AP's, 3 EAD's each since then.
My wife did finger print in 9/2004, I did it in 12/2004 because the notice sent to me was lost since we moved, after 3 months, the company lawyer faxed me his copy. He happened to found out that he had one copy and I hadn't done the finger print yet.
I140 was approved in 2/2005
Around 7/2005, saw that the processing dates for I485 approached my I485 filing date, began to bother lawyer once or twice every month, found out that it's stuck in name check.
Send an email to FBI. (proved to be useless)
went to http://www.house.gov/writerep/ and found my congressman, wrote him a formal letter, his secretary got into email contact with me. Seemed to me that USCIS had to reply his inquiry in 24 hours, every time! However he inquired FBI only once.
also wrote my Senator, he replied and suggested I do not bother them, interrupt them. He would be very glad to serve me on some other things.
After 10/2005, congressman secretary inquired several times, got the same reason: PD not current!
On 2/1/2006, PD became current. Did code 3 finger prints in 2/2006.
last month got our cards in March 2006.
Hint: I worked, and congressman worked!
