USCIS announced its change of policy on EAD issuance on July 28, 2006.
The announcment indicates that it is until October 1, 2006, local USCIS field office will no longer issue interim EAD. This is somehow misleading. As a matter of fact, only those who has received a notice for interim EAD (green sheet) issuance, could still get their interim EAD at the local office between September 1 to October 1, 2006.
Online infopass still allows applicants to book interim EAD, but starting this week, interim EAD is no longer available in NYC.
