I have had my finger prints done for more than one month. To avoid the 4-5 years of VISA number waiting list, I am planing to marry a woman in Singapore before I-485 approval. Since I do not know when my I-485 will be approved and the AP petition may take some time, I am planning to let her come to US with VISA Waiver and get married here.
My company lawyer told me that this may be an issue if we get married here by her VISA Waiver. I want to know how big this trouble could be. If she go to Counselor processing, is it possible to get a denial? If denied, can we appeal?
My feeling is that they can not force a divorce by this small matter. But I am not sure.
