I was wondering if someone knowledgeable could tell me how long it takes to process I-131. I am currently on H1-B, valid through 2009. Married a citizen. Will have my interview at local USICS office next week to FILE my application; I have NOT filed any of the documents yet. I am going back to China to have my wedding ceremony soon. I would like to have my I-131 in time, so that I won't have to have an interview at the US embassy in China, as I've only got one week time in China. Do they typically process faster if I hand-deliver my application? In my case what should I do to obtain my I-131 in time? If I don't get it and have to have an interview at US embassy in china, do I inform them that I am in the process of applying my green card??
