I applied for adjusting status over Consulate at Montreal (NIW). We provided all original documents (birth certificate/married certificate/police) as they asked. They only asked some simple questions and ask us to sign all documents. We had sworn in front of the visa officer. However, he gave the notice showing that:

My friend told me that they should issue immigrating visa immediately after interview. The officer told me we can have the visa 6 to 8 weeks later. I am worrying about that if I should be denied?
