Just found out the processing time has been updated, and NSC's processing time for 485 is 3/3/07, and TSC is 3/15/07. This means one thing: tens of thousands of people were still name checking pending!!! according to the fact sheet I got from INFOPASS, more than 80% name check should be cleared in two months. I don't think this 80% is true. It seems more likely that 80% are stuck with name check.
I think USCIS announce their progress by counting cases with NC cleared, they don't care those stuck with FBI. I can help wondering that FBI just lock most cases in their cabinet until someone (maybe Mrs. Bush) expresses concern for a certain case, then all cases in the same drawer with this case get processed.
