On July 7, received email from CIS as following regarding my I-485 (filed in 12/2003, I know, have been too long!):
"On July 6, 2007 we mailed the document to the address we have on file. You should receive the new document within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service."
I wait until middle of August but did not reveive anything. Then I called national service center. Firt time was a immigration information officer. He told me to check with the postoffice, and told me my name check is not cleared. I feel his answer was useless, so I called national service center again. This time, a representative told me the email means my I-485 was approved. !? too good to be true. She suggested to file an A-9 because my green card was lost. Hard to believe, because I was just told that my name check was not cleared.
Do you guys have any comments and suggestions? Should I file an A-9 as the representative suggested? Thank you very much.
