it's been a grueling process. but finally it's almost over. (i used 'almost', because my hu*****and's case is still pending.). here's my case to share with everybody here:
EB2 RIR
PD: 1/2004,
then stuck at BEC for almost 3 years, got released on Oct 2006.
concurrently filed 140 and 485 on 11/14/06 to TSC.
FP on early Dec. no LUD on 485 after FP.
140 is approved on 11/28/06. Approved 140 has a LUD on 8/5/07.
No any other update ever since.
9/22/07, went to infopass, was told NC is pending.
early Oct 07, wrote letters to First Lady, senator, and FBI.
checked online status yesterday, and found my case is approved:
"Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.
On November 7, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before you get your new card call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register."
my hu*****and's case is still pending.
couple notes to share:
1. our 485 never got any LUD since the receipt, even after FP. so if yours is the same case, dont worry at all.
2. i dont know if the letters to those guys expedites the process. but once your case passed the processing time, go for infopass, and then try to write letters. if it helps, it's great; if not, it doesnt hurt and you wont lose anything.
3. check your case status online periodically. _(a) (i set the email notification, but i havent got any email from USCIS yet. )
4. i tried to call TSC couple times, but never was able to spoke to an officer. so i dont know if calling TSC helps.
Hope my hu*****and can get his approved pretty soon.
