Some questions regarding family-based Filing. Different lawyers gave different answers. Really confused... :( Who can help with this? Really appreciate it...

1. How much is the filing fee if all the applications are filed together? Is the following calculation correct? Should we write only 1 check or separate checks?

$355(I-130, Family-based petition) + $0(I-864, Financial support) + $0(citizen's G325A) + $1,010(I-485) + $305(I-131, AP) + $340(I-765, EAD) + $0(foreigner's G325A) + $0(I-693, Medical Exam) = $2,010

One lawyer said if all file together, it's only $355(I-130)+$1,010(I-485)=$1,365, while another lawyer said whatever filed together or not, all need to be paid the same fee, which is $2,010.

2. How long can the foreigner begin to apply for citizenship?

If it's marriage-based, one lawyer said it is total 3 years (2 years conditional permanent residence plus 1 year permanent residence), while another lawyer said it is total 5 years (2 years conditional permanent residence plus 3 year permanent residence). Who is right?

3. Has anyone been to USCIS local office for filing questions?

Since we have finished most of the parts of the forms except several items we have question, we don't wanna hire a lawyer. Can we go to USCIS local office directly ask for help? Will they answer the detailed questions on the forms? Also I find we have to make an appointment through InfoPass. Will that have any impact to the application?

4. Does the "copy" in all the applications mean "photocopy"? There can be official copy for birth certificate and marriage certificate. Should we submit official copy or just photocopy?

5. can part of the medical exam expense be covered by insurance?

6. Does family-based petition application have premium processing?
