I have OPT-H1B Gap and I plan to apply B2 visa to bridge the gap. Could you please tell me if I need proof of B2 visa application accompanies with H1B application? I need to show something to USCIS to prove that I can bridge the gap. Otherwise, USCIS may have me gone outside of U.S. to get visa stamp. Besides, there is a rule of multiple visa to be effective in USCIS, which is the last approved visa is the final and nails down you status. If my B2 gets approved prior to H1B, I am OK; if My B2 gets approved after H1B, I will get in trouble because B2 will take place of H1B as my final effective visa. So now for me, the timing to file B2 is the key. Could you please also tell me when is the best time for me to file B2. Is it better before April 1st or after that?
This is very urgent since April 1st is the deadline to file H1B visa.
