Dear Senator _______
I commend your efforts towards family unification and recapturing wasted visa numbers wasted due to bureaucratic delays. But please, do not stop there. I am urging you to do the same with employment based visa numbers, there may be just as many numbers, if not more, wasted and just as many immigrants who have been patiently waiting for years or even decades, while putting their careers on hold. It is only fair to make good on all the mistakes and the negligence that the system generated.
Now, more than ever, it is crucial to get people through the line before we get more people in the line when CIR happens. I, myself, have been living legally in the United States for ___ years, and even though I have done everything by the book there is no end in sight.
Undoing past mistakes by bureaucrats is not a controversial issue as it just rectifies negligence from the past to grant visa numbers to those already working and living HERE, those already in the line.
Thank you in advance for your understanding and all your efforts in advancing a progressive immigration policy.
