My parents get green card a couple of years ago. In order to keep the green card, they came here to visit every half a year, stay half a year each year. Now they are tired of flying, instead of coming here once every year, they want to come here to visit once every 2 years, stay here for half a year.
I hear that if they give up their green card, they can apply and get 10 year multiple entrance visa? If that is the case, that is perfect. Since they have no intention to live here permanently. 10 years multiple entrance just meet their needs.
