My H1B was approved in this June. But the approval notice indicates that I need to go back to China to apply for H1B visa and reentry US to get I-94 because my OPT grace period ended before October 1, 2004. On July 23rd, the new regulation told us that people like me should remain in the US and have their lawyer to file motion to reopen in order to get new I-94 form. So my lawyer filed the Motion to Reopen for me and I suppose to get the new I-94 before October 1, which is the start date of my H1B. However I have not received it. My lawyer told me the only thing we can do is to continue waiting. So my questions are:
1) Am I eligible to work for my company right now?
2) Is there anyone who has similar case but already got I-94 form?
3) Is there anything wrong?
