I have filed my I-485 early this year (not approved yet), and I filed my wife's (just married) I-485 recently as a derivative benefitiary. I received her case receipt number also, and there is a priority date.
My question is when the INS process my case, will my wife's application be processed at the same time, or my wife's has to wait until her priority date?
If INS will not process the two cases at the same time, will a lawyer be able to ask INS to do this.
