8 大俠，I got the denial letter from USCIS today. It said because my I-485 is denied on Feb 4, so my application for I-765 has to be denied. What I don't understand is that when my lawyer sent in the response letter to the local USICS office back in January, the IO told her that my case hasn't arrived at his desk yet. He will keep an eye for it but will not chase after it. Therefore, my lawyer asked me to wait patiently for them to make a decision. Also, if my I-485 was denied on Feb 4, then it had been a month now, and how come I still haven't received the official denie notice for my I-485? When I check my status on line, my I-485 is showing that it is still under initial review. I am just devistated, when I hired that lawyer, she told me there was a good chance with the explaination letter, the conviction should be over looked becuased when I went to my interview last year, the IO already told me my green card had been pre-approved. It is true when I called the lawyer to follow up, she didn't returned my phone call. Was it possible that she already knew but didn't tell me? What should I do now?
