If China won in the war against Japan in 1894, could Taiwan be taken away?

If no cilvil war between 1945 and 1949 between GCD and GMD, could China be separated? Who should be responsible for the separation today?

My conclusion is that all Chinese are responsible, not just Taiwanese. Taiwanese is only part of Chinese, and they were just passively received the fate they got since 1895. 

If mainland of China still wants Taiwan, it needs to improves itself and to be kind & generous.

Before Feb 25, 2018, not so many people worried about Taiwan. It is Xi Jinping who causes the dilemma today.
